That's the final buzzer, and it's a wonderful 6-1 win for SKA! A match that they completely dominated from start to finish. Evgeniy Skachkov opened the scoring and on a shorthanded counterattack Evgeniy Ketov made it two nil, but Alexander Yunkov replied for Amur seconds later. SKA weren't to be denied though, and Artemiy Panarin got a stunning hat trick before Vadim Shipachyov got in on the act. In the first game against each other this season in Saint Petersburg, SKA ran out 4-3 winners with an overtime goal from Viktor Tikhonov. SKA are currently second in the Western Conference with 79 points, whereas Amur are 13 points off a playoff place in the Eastern Conference, sitting in 12th place with 41 points.
Amur in their last six outings have shared out their wins and losses out fairly, three of each, but they will be full of confidence after Friday's big win against Lokomotiv Yaroslavl. SKA are on a poor run of form with only one win in their last six, and will be looking to get back on track today.
