The teams are returning to the ice, and the 3rd period will begin shortly.
As opposed to the first period, which started wild but quickly calmed down, this second period was played at a frantic pace almost from beginning to end. Lots of end-to-end action, odd-man rushes and five goals scored. The coaches may not like it, but this is entertaining for sure! We'll see what happens in the 3rd period of this championship game, with Zurich leading 4-3 after 2.

Just as the penalty ended, A Zurich shot from the point was blocked, resulting in a breakaway for JAN HLADONIK. He made a bit of a move to get Zumbuhl to open the pads and then slid the puck between them.

The teams are on the ice and the 2nd period will start soon. The teams will play 4-on-4 to start, due to the late off-setting penalties in the first period.
The game began at a frantic pace, with each team scoring a goal in the first four minutes. The teams settled down after that, however, and played more defensively responsible. They seem to be two evenly matched teams in this final game.

Třinec finished in a 3-way tie in points atop Group B with 6, falling only to Eisbären Berlin 3-2. They then beat HC Minsk 5-4 and Sparta Prague 2-1 to reach the final.
